My Story

I'm Karisue Wyson — strategist, writer, and business translator for leaders navigating change. I've shaped communications under journalistic pressure at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, built audience at The Washington Post, and led agent education and recruiting at Corcoran McEnearney, one of DC's top real estate brokerages. I don't just advise from the outside — I've led, sold, written, recruited, and communicated at every level and across industries. I launched KMW Consulting Collective to put that expertise to work — for professionals and organizations with a powerful story to tell, a problem to solve, or a mission to grow.

I believe culture shapes how we think and lead and I'm inspired by alliances that marry courage with craft — the grounded storytelling of Bruce Springsteen, the disciplined global artistry of BTS, the humanitarian urgency of World Central Kitchen and José Andrés, the joy and confidence of Olympic champion Alysa Liu. Behind all of them is the same reminder: vision matters — but so do discipline, teamwork, and service. That's the standard I bring to this work.

KMW Consulting Collective is founder-led, collaborative, and built on partnership. Strategy works best when it's developed together.

Ellen Weber Libby, Ph.D.

Author of The Favorite Child and The Calling to Adopt: Should I or Shouldn’t I?

Dr. Ellen Weber Libby’s work has long explored the emotional complexity of family life. Her earlier book, The Favorite Child, sparked national conversation about sibling dynamics and parental favoritism, earning media attention and resonating deeply with readers who recognized their own experiences in its pages. It established her as a research-driven, compassionate voice willing to examine difficult family truths with clarity and nuance.

With The Calling to Adopt: Should I or Shouldn’t I?, Ellen turns her attention to one of the most consequential decisions a family can make: whether to pursue adoption. Drawing on decades of clinical experience, the book invites prospective parents into rigorous self-reflection before beginning the adoption journey — centering emotional preparedness, long-term implications, and the lived realities of adoptees and families.

Our collaboration began as this second book prepared to enter the world. Rather than relying solely on a traditional release model, we are pursuing a strategic, grassroots approach — engaging podcasters, thought leaders, adoption advocates, foster care networks, and mission-aligned organizations directly. The goal is not simply visibility, but connection: placing the book in conversations where it can serve families, clinicians, and advocates who will benefit most from its insights. Together, we are shaping positioning, outreach, and partnerships that align with Ellen’s values and extend the life of her work as a clinical psychologist far beyond a launch window of her writings.
